My Work
These are my projects I have worked on by either directing and producing or creating foley sound for.
01
How did Covid-19 effect you?
For this project, the brief was to create a documentary on anything we wanted. I decided to create a piece on COVID-19 and its effects. I asked a few of my classmates some questions and hit record on the camera and let them speak their minds.
This documentary had a big impact on me as it was the first piece I made at college. I really enjoyed creating this piece and learning about how lockdown had a different impact on everyones lives.
I created this piece with the intention to help people feel less alone as covid hit. My aim was to show people that they can talk about and hope they were comforted by my documentary.

Creating this was a big learning curve for me, because I used tie mics and filmed in a public place, they picked up a lot of background noise and made the sound hard to hear, but this did help me develop my sound skills and it was a fixable issue.
02
Foley Project
This was my second project at college; audio production. The brief was to create our own Foley sound for a short film, I chose this video by WWF because I thought it was beautiful, powerful and influential, so much so, you can't help but feel captured by it.
For this project I worked in a group with 2 other people to create the perfect foley sound for this short film.
03
Experimental Film
For this project, the brief was to create either a music video or experimental film. I selected the experimental film and I chose this idea because I wanted to express, through contemporary dance, my understanding and interpretation of the monologue 'Not My Responsibility' by Billie Eilish. My reason for choosing this monologue is because it's a hard-hitting piece of Billies, critiquing society's views on women and body shaming. I love the power of this song and the message to all women, although this is not just for the female audience, it is for everyone.
04
Music Video-FMP
This was my first official music video and my fist Final Major Project. With a FMP I'm given the freedom to create whatever I desire. I decided as I thoroughly enjoyed the experimental film I felt I wanted to push a little more, so wanted to recreate something in a similar style, although I would like to experiment with further options in the future, for this particular project I felt I wanted to continue with a similar theme.
I wanted to achieve a thriller theme whilst creating this piece, which also relates to a lot of Billie's style of music videos.
05
Competition Reel
This is my most recent project. The brief for this was advertisement, and for this we were to create an advert for any supermarket item. I decided to go with Haribo as I had the initial idea to create a stop-motion advertisement, but this ended up being a second part to the advert, instead, I created a social media reel. This reel was for a competition, the reason for the competition is a good way to advertise and push Haribo sales. The competition stated that those entering were to use Haribo sweets to create a short film/stop-motion.
This was a clear, fun way to advertise Haribo, by doing this it would definitely have an increase in their sales.
This is a stop-motion piece I created with 2 others. Originally, this was going to be the main idea, to create a stop-motion, but we decided it doesn't really advertise Haribo in the effective way it was meant, so we decided to create a competition using Haribos instead.

We used this as an example reel to go alongside the competition reel.
What was my favourite project and why?
Out of all 5 of my projects I've worked on, I would definitely say that the Haribo competition reel was my favourite, this is because I had the creative freedom to do what I like with it and I also used everything I've learnt previously to create other porjects, in this one, for example; I used FinalCut Pro to create this reel which really improved my skill and I learnt things about this software I had never used before.
